Elcenia’s Theme recently designed invitation for the wedding of Tony nominated actress Sheryl Lee Ralph to Pennsylvania’s State Senator Vincent Hughes. The invitation, printed on crinkled, ivory metallic leather-like parchment with a light sheen was securely mounted on ivory silk dupioni fabric adorned with ivory seed pearl. The invitation then slipped into a matching, satin lined, silk dupioni pouch. The elaborate invites generate so much buzz in Hollywood that “Entertainment Tonight” followed Elcenia’s Theme as the invitations were hand delivered to many of Sheryl and Vincent’s guests on crystal platters by decked out delivery men wearing white gloves.
Victoria Rowell, of daytime soap opera, The Young and the Restless, told ET the presentation was spectacular and describe the invitation as “exquisite.” Songstress Patti LaBelle said the invitation was so beautiful that it looked like a “dream”. James Avery, of Fresh Price of Bel-Air, told ET the invitation was “absolutely fabulous.”
Miller, a Chicago native now living in Los Angeles, began making invitations for family and friends as a hobby. He decided to try making greeting cards and eventually distinctive custom stationery and invitations. Over the years, his designs have garnered Hollywood’s attention with celebrity customers. He designs personal stationery for comedian George Wallace and designed wedding invitations for Academy Award winning actress Mira Sorvino.
